Terms of Service
Effective July 23, 2026
1. The service
RemoteQuote is software for home-service contractors to collect project information and photos, generate AI-assisted scope and estimate suggestions, create quotes, and request customer approval.
RemoteQuote is not a home-service provider, contractor marketplace, referral agency, insurer, engineering service, safety inspector, or party to the contract between a contractor and customer.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping credentials and share links secure, and activity under your account.
Contractor accounts must use the service only for businesses, properties, and customers they are authorized to serve.
3. AI-assisted estimates
AI may identify likely dimensions, objects, labor, equipment, access, risks, confidence, missing information, or a possible price range. Outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for local conditions.
The contractor—not RemoteQuote or the AI—is responsible for reviewing photos, confirming scope, deciding whether to visit the site, applying local pricing, setting the final quote, and complying with licensing, permitting, insurance, utility-location, environmental, disposal, and safety requirements.
Do not rely on RemoteQuote for emergency response or for decisions where an error could cause injury, property damage, legal noncompliance, or environmental harm.
4. Customer photos and content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant RemoteQuote and its service providers a limited license to host, copy, analyze, transmit, display, and otherwise process that content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
You represent that you have permission to submit customer information, property photos, project details, logos, and service-agreement text. Do not upload illegal content, unnecessary sensitive information, or content that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.
5. Quotes, approvals, and contractor-customer relationships
Contractors control quote scope, final prices, deposits, notes, and optional service-agreement terms. RemoteQuote does not draft or approve contractor terms and does not guarantee that any quote or electronic approval forms an enforceable contract.
Contractors are solely responsible for the services they advertise or perform, including workmanship, scheduling, collections, refunds, disputes, taxes, insurance, warranties, and customer communications.
6. Subscriptions and billing
The pilot includes three free sent quotes. Paid plans are shown on the Pricing page and may include one main trade plus separately billed additional trades. AI use may be subject to reasonable-use limits needed to protect service availability and cost.
Stripe processes paid subscriptions. Unless cancelled, subscriptions renew for the selected billing period at the price then disclosed to you. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not automatically create a refund for a current period, except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
Taxes may apply. We may change pricing or plan features with advance notice before the change affects a renewal.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse share links; probe or bypass security; access another user’s data; upload malware; send spam; impersonate others; scrape the service; use the service to violate law or rights; or use automated methods that unreasonably burden the platform.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access to protect users, vendors, or the service, investigate suspected abuse, comply with law, or address nonpayment.
8. Third-party services
The service depends on third parties for hosting, authentication, file storage, AI analysis, email, and payment processing. Their services may be unavailable or may apply separate terms. Jobber sync is not currently available.
9. Availability and changes
The pilot may change, experience interruptions, or contain errors. We may add, remove, or modify features, trade support, limits, and integrations. We will not intentionally remove paid core functionality during a current billing period without a reasonable operational, legal, or security reason.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service and AI outputs are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee quote accuracy, customer acceptance, job profitability, legal compliance, uninterrupted availability, or that AI will identify every hazard.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RemoteQuote will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, property damage, or costs arising from contractor services or reliance on AI output.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid RemoteQuote during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. Applicable law may provide rights that cannot be limited.
12. Ending use of the service
You may stop using the service and may delete your account through Settings. Account deletion can permanently remove quotes and business information, subject to backup, security, and legal retention. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Changes, applicable law, and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes apply prospectively after notice or posting, except changes needed immediately for security or legal compliance.
These terms are governed by applicable law. Nothing here waives consumer rights or other protections that cannot lawfully be waived.
