Privacy Policy

Effective July 23, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how RemoteQuote collects, uses, and discloses information through its contractor dashboard, homeowner photo-request pages, quote pages, emails, and related services.

Home-service contractors using RemoteQuote are independent businesses. They may have their own privacy obligations and policies for information they collect from customers.

2. Information we collect

Account and business information: name, email, business name, phone number, address, logo, service trade, price-book inputs, subscription status, and support communications.

Quote and customer information: customer name, contact information, property address, project descriptions, photos, access notes, requested services, contractor prices, quote status, approvals, and change requests.

Technical information: device, browser, IP address, timestamps, diagnostic logs, security events, and usage information needed to operate and protect the service.

Project photos may unintentionally include people, license plates, neighboring property, or other sensitive details. Upload only what is reasonably needed to evaluate the job.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide accounts and public quote links; store and organize quote records; analyze project photos; generate scope, risk, confidence, missing-information, and price-range suggestions; deliver emails; process subscriptions; prevent abuse; troubleshoot; provide support; and improve the service.

AI outputs are assistive estimates. They are not safety inspections, engineering opinions, legal advice, or final contractor quotes.

4. How information is disclosed

Information may be disclosed to the contractor who requested the quote, the homeowner or recipient who receives a secure quote link, and vendors that help us provide hosting, file storage, AI analysis, email delivery, authentication, security, analytics, and payment processing.

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. RemoteQuote does not store complete payment-card numbers.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or support a business transfer.

We do not knowingly sell personal information or use project information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Public and shared links

Homeowner intake and customer quote pages use unguessable share tokens. Anyone who receives a valid link may be able to use that page. Do not post quote links publicly, and contact the contractor or support if a link was sent to the wrong person.

Unsent contractor drafts are not available through the public quote viewer. A customer quote is made viewable after the contractor sends it.

6. Retention and security

We retain information while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for operations, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup restoration. Contractors can delete their account in Settings; some information may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is legally required.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service or transmission method is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

You may update account and business information in Settings. You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information by emailing support@remotequote.ai. We may verify identity and may retain information where an exception or legal obligation applies.

Depending on where you live and whether applicable thresholds are met, local law may provide additional rights, including rights to know, delete, correct, or limit certain uses of personal information and to receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

Homeowners may also contact the contractor that collected their information, because the contractor may maintain separate records outside RemoteQuote.

8. Children and international use

The service is intended for adults and businesses and is not directed to children under 18. Do not knowingly submit a child’s personal information.

If information is accessed or processed outside your region, it may be subject to the laws of the location where it is processed.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date below will be revised when a material update is posted.

This policy describes the current pilot product. It should be reviewed by qualified counsel before broad commercial launch, especially as vendors, analytics, jurisdictions, and data practices change.
